I have enjoyed collecting cards since 1977 when I bought my first pack of Topps baseball cards. My favorite player back then was Mark Fidrych and when I opened a pack that year with his rookie card I was hooked (of course rookie cards meant nothing to me back then). I still have that card in my personal collection and I was lucky enough to get it autographed years later when he was struggling to make a comeback in the minor leagues. Of course it's pretty tattered now but it will never leave my collection.

In addition, when I tried to introduce my son to collecting by showing him how to build a set like I used to, I realized dealers just don't carry common cards they way they used to.

The idea behind Sandlot Cards was to build an online store where traditional collectors can go to build their sets or easily find cards of their favorite player or team.

How can you trust Sandlot Cards?

It's tough for any new store to establish a loyal following but I hope you'll give us a try. I've worked for major companies who pride themselves on quality customer service and I have seen first hand how important this is to building a business. I continue to maintain a full-time job but I work hard each night and on weekends to fill orders quickly, answer e-mails or calls, and add cards to this site.

In addition, I've taken extra steps to ensure your orders are secure. First, credit card payments are handled through Paypal's secure site and Sandlot Cards never receives your credit card information. You can feel safe using a trusted service like Paypal and you do not have to have a Paypal account to pay by credit card.

Also, when you place an order, your shipping information, email address, etc. will all be entered on our secure server. You will know your information is secure because the website address will start with 'https://' rather than 'http://'. You will notice many online card stores do not provide this level of security; either because they don't understand how to do it or because the don't want to pay the extra cost involved to set this up.
